For her fifteenth birthday festivity, Rachel Goggins (Angourie Rice) gets another AI doll named "Ashley Too", which has a character exhibited after Rachel's favored pop vocalist, virtuoso Ashley O (Miley Cyrus). Rachel begins to trust in Ashley Too, viewing it as a partner rather than a toy, to the disturbance of her progressively settled sister Jack (Madison Davenport).
